What is Maharish Vedic Approach to Health?

Quantum Physics reveals what Vedic knowledge has always known, that we are intimately connected to everything else in creation.  Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health includes knowledge about every aspect influencing our health and wellbeing; from our inner consciousness to the movement of the planets.

A truly holistic system of healthcare needs to understand the interconnectedness of life and provide knowledge about staying balanced in the ever changing cycles of life.

Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health is an umbrella term for the many branches of Vedic knowledge including:

  • Transcendental Meditation(R)
  • Maharishi Ayurveda
  • Maharishi Sthapatya Veda (Vedic Architecture)
  • Maharishi Jyotish (Vedic Astrology)
  • Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture

Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health provides knowledge about all aspect of life and helps us to understand the influences of nature on our physiology

Why do we get a second wind if we stay up after 10 o’clock at night?

Why can some people eat whatever they like and stay thin?

Why are coughs and colds more prevalent in the Spring?

Why do we feel tired and unmotivated in some buildings but exhilarated in others?

Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health understands that Consciousness is primary to our health and wellbeing.  All aspects of Maharishi’s Vedic technologies work by connecting our individual consciousness to cosmic consciousness. By aligning ourselves with natural law or the power of nature we gain the support of creation rather than fighting against it.

Transcendental Meditation (R) allows the individual mind to experience the level of pure consciousness identified by science as the Unified Field of all the laws of nature.  By experiencing life at this profound level we gain access to infinite abundance, creativity and bliss because at this level everything is connected with everything else, there are no boundaries or barriers to life.  With regular practice of Transcendental Meditation (R) this state of awareness is never lost even when we are in the midst of activity.

Our mind and body are also intimately connected.  Mental stress and anxiety can disturb our digestion and sleep cycles just as imbalances in the body can create mental fogginess or changes in our emotions.  Maharishi Ayurveda provides knowledge of diet and lifestyle to reverse chronic conditions, maintain balance and prevent poor health.

Maharishi Ayurveda understands that we each have a unique constitutional type and therefore require personalised advice to suit our individual needs.  Knowledge of the doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha help us to understand our nature and the influences of what we eat and our activities. We are also influenced by the cycles of day, seasonal cycles and the different phases of our life.  Pulse diagnosis provides information and balance and imbalance in the physiology.  It is a prevention based approach as imbalances can be picked up and treated before they turn into disease.

Our homes and building are like a second physiology to us and therefore influence our vitality and success in life.  Maharishi Sthapatya Veda (Vedic architecture) is the most ancient and complete system of architecture and planning according to the solar, lunar and planetary influences on the earth with reference to the north and south poles and the equator; connecting individual life with cosmic life.

Maharishi has re-enlivened all aspects of Vedic knowledge to make Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health a truly holistic system of health care.

  1. Dear Wendy,
After much searching I could not find another way to send you this message.
On reading your article on Pragyaparadha in the last Hinterland Times I was struck by what you say with reference, mainly, to the “Illusion” and Reality. I do not know if you quote from the vedas, or other sources, or describe your actual discoveries (dharshana) but the similarity of it with my experience is profound. Of course, this is to be expected as all knowledge is from the one source!
I wish you much success in your endeavours,
    Ian.
    Maleny.
